During the #100DayChallenge, I painted a magnolia flower which sold to a local shop owner before the paint was even dry. Soon after I had someone else commission another one. It was a simple painting with a deep black background that made the flower pop. The simplicity of it is what I love most. It’s a flower that holds a lot of stories for people who grew up in the south. Magnolias are beautiful trees with even prettier flowers, even the cones are lovely especially when the bright red seeds start peeking out of them. Funny how a cream colored flower starts with such a bright red seed.

I decided to take my Magnolia inspiration and round up a few things inspired by this flower. The long sleeve Max Studio dress fits like an absolute dream and is taking me everywhere this fall. I’ll pair it with boots for market days and heeled ankle booties to dinner. I can’t say I’ve tried everything in the list below, but I really have my eye on those cozy cream colored slippers and the short sleeved version of the Max Studio dress!
Hope you find inspiration from these sweet magnolia inspired finds! Happy fall, ya’ll! Also, stay tuned! There may be some magnolia Christmas stationery coming soon…until then, check out the available postcard and print in the shop!
