Whew! Coming up for air real quick before the last

Whew! Coming up for air real quick before the last couple weeks of classes this semester @uga_dodd_art! I’ve been neglecting the social medias and it’s honestly been nice. I spent a couple days with my parents & sibs over Thanksgiving break and am feeling rested and ready to bust through the last few projects, full steam ahead! This week…1) Ceramics class: Critique for Project 2 and I’ll see what from Project 3 has survived the first kiln firing then glaze everything. 2) Painting classes: just keep painting my head off. 3) ARHI: Last lecture then study for final exam. #artstudent #lamardodd #ithinkicanithinkican

Making lotsa pots! My mug handles are so wonky but I love that about them! 😂 I’m trying to make more bowls for our house bc that’s the dish we use most. Soooo…the black was supposed to be red, the brow

Soooo…the black was supposed to be red, the brown was supposed to be pink, and the light blue-green skin tone was supposed to be off-white. 🥴 This is when I learned the difference between oxidation firing and reduction firing. 😂😂 Super derpy dude got really weird after some time in the kiln but I kinda like it even more now. #ceramicsclass #handbuildingceramics

I wish paintings could be experienced online the same as in person. In real life, there’s so much more depth than what a photo can show! But until someone invents the technology to project high res opaque 3D images from our phones, a 2D photo will have to suffice. That said, even a life like hologram wouldn’t feel the same. There’s something really special about seeing paintings in person. 🤌🏼 #abstractart #mixedmediaart #materialgirl
