Ok this is the final run through the press for this reduction print series! Yesterday I posted images before I ran the black ink layer and the black really pulled it all together. I may have a few to sell so if you’re interested, dm me! All original prints, signed and numbered. My most recent print. I created three color ways for this one and Finn got to help with the press, which he thought was pretty cool! Going to art school now allows me to share the experience with my boys and introduce them to all kinds of mediums. I’m currently carving my final blocks for this semester and it’s taking HOURS UPON HOURS but I think it’ll be my best print yet! Can’t wait to ink it up and watch the magic happen! .

Fin! 16”x20” oil on canvas. || Here’s a peek inside my locker @uga_dodd_art. I wanted to document my first semester back after over a decade “break” from school. 🤷🏼‍♀️😅 After years of having that dream where I forget my locker combination I thought it would be funny to paint this scene. An adult diagnosis of ADHD (Inattentive Type 👋🏼) has helped me understand why college was such a struggle for me when I was younger. You can be smart as a whip (hello, all A grade school student) and create habits that you don’t realize are masking techniques until they’re pointed out to you. Getting this diagnosis has helped me accept many parts of myself I was always told were personal flaws by neurotypical people and society in general. I’m quite sensitive, can be either super quiet or talk too much (I try VERY hard not to interrupt ppl but it still happens sometimes), I have a hard time finishing things, and time blindness is probably my biggest struggle. I am learning to make these things work for me and learning how to manage, not mask. If I don’t finish a project I no longer beat myself up about it. Instead, I appreciate the joy it gave me while I did work on it and then let it go. Sometimes the thing I need is not the finished project but the act of exploring something new. I don’t NEED to finish everything. I’ll share more about this and more new art over time as I move through this college experience. ✨

Seriously the ✨cutest✨ book I’ve ever seen! My printmaking Professor (Prof. Melissa Harshman) took our class to visit the @russlibuga Special Collections Library to look through rare books and this little treasure was presented in a bag of mixed nuts. A walnut shell filled with prints of a variety of nuts on an accordion book. It looked like little woodland elves made it. 🤗 Anyone can visit the SCL and I highly recommend you do!
