1. Casual
Espadrilles are probably my favorite summertime shoes! They’re comfortable, feminine, and can be worn for pretty much any occasion. From hanging out with the fam to running errands to attending weddings, they’re one of the most versatile shoes out there.

For a casual look, I like to pair my espadrilles with a silk button up (it’s so cool and breezy in the hot months) and denim shorts. I usually do a French tuck or pull just one side out a bit to keep the shirt looking more casual while defining my waist. A French tuck is when you tuck your shirt in the front but leave the rest out. It’s a great option when you want to feel casual but also want to avoid looking too undone.

I throw on a few stretchy bracelets and a pair of earrings to complete the look. I absolutely love these sterling silver Ginko earrings by my friend Mary Frances. Find them here and take a look at all the other pretty handmade jewelry she has! She does lots of custom work as well and I highly recommend her.

The pillows on the sofa were a gift from my husband. He had some of my paintings printed onto a gorgeous velvet and had them made as a surprise! I totally cried. He is so thoughtful!!
2. Date Night

I love a good off the shoulder dress or top. This one is made of jersey, so it feels casual but it’s sexy enough for date night or girls night out. It’s such an easy dress to throw on and so flattering on the shoulders. I couldn’t find a link to my exact one, but I did link to similar styles (scroll to bottom of post for links), one of which is from ASOS, where I purchased this one a year ago.
This little book bag is great for walking to your neighborhood restaurant. This keeps the vibe casual for patio dining, which is what most everyone is doing these days. It also hangs easily on the back of your chair so you don’t have to worry about it slipping off onto the ground as much as you would a shoulder bag or clutch.

The gold bracelet I’m wearing was a bracelet I purchased 5 years ago from my friends over at BMA Designs. They no longer carry them and I can’t remember who it’s by, but Mary Frances, who I linked for the Ginko earrings above, has some very similar. Look for her Birch bracelet. I swear it’s the exact same as mine!

I like to style my hair back off my face when dressing up a bit. It feels more elegant than my usual messy look and it draws attention to my eyes more. A simple makeup look with a winged liner and I’m good to go!
The ring is vintage and from one of my favorite local spots – Agora Vintage in downtown Athens. I love browsing their shop and always walk out with a treasure! This brown stone set in silver goes with pretty much anything.
3. Running Errands

I’ve been loving bodysuits and blazers lately! I don’t have to worry about my shirt coming untucked and I feel so chic with a blazer on. I’ve had this one for years but linked a similar one below. This is my favorite summertime blazer – it’s off white linen with faded black pinstripes. I can wear it with all black or with denim (or a mix like in this look!) and it looks great! It goes with so many outfits in my wardrobe. I love linen paired with espadrilles for the ultimate summer style.

The black quilted bag was a birthday gift from my in-laws (my MIL is the best MIL!) and I absolutely love it! I’m the biggest fan of cute book bags for purses – I like having my hands free and a book bag is just so easy to carry around. I’ve linked another super cute quilted version below.

My H initial necklace is from a creator friend’s shop called Peach Stamped. This necklace gets so much wear and it’s only $22! It comes in silver or gold in any initial you need. I wear this one all the time and love love love it.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this post has inspired you to break out your espadrilles this summer, or invest in a pair! Being the ultimate in summertime shoe, they come in any color you can think of as well as flats or wedges. I always appreciate a little more height so wedges are usually the way I go. You can typically find espadrilles in canvas but they also come in leather, satin, cotton eyelet…you name it!
Let me know in the comments if you love espadrilles as much as I do!
