Art Before Breakfast || Was craving ramen yesterday so I went to @fooksfoods for a few things. I always grab treats for the kids while there. Hello Panda & Hi-Chew are their faves but the Yan Yan tastes exactly like Hello Panda just in a different form. I’ve been wanting to try the matcha @kitkat_us and finally found some! I’d give them a 8 out of 10. Yummy, but idk if I’d ever just crave them. I will, however, probably eat the entire bag within a few days. 😂 .

Spent a few hours @botanicalgarden_ga drawing with @courtneykhail today and had the best time! Not once was there a feeling of comparison or inferiority or anything negative. It was simply two friends drawing. This is the kind of friendship we all need. We talked about everything from pencils to politics while we drew and basically had to pry ourselves out of there for food lest we perish. So glad you’re in Athens now, Courtney! Looking forward to more sketch sessions to come. I’m packing snacks or lunch next time. 😂

Art Before Breakfast || Story time!! —-> Last night, I decided to draw a banana tree down the street for this morning’s challenge (the black & white portion here). I enjoyed it so much that I decided to go to @botanicalgarden_ga to check out their trees too. Then I went to @donderos for lunch and to complete this spread with more bananas. Afterwards, I drove to @traderjoes SPECIFICALLY for bananas. 😂 THEN I get a text from a local biz owner to purchase Banana Split (4th slide) - one of my all time favorite pieces - & I really couldn’t be happier with where that painting is going to live! Art Before Breakfast || Getting bolder & more relaxed with watercolors. Also, I’ve been so focused on just doing & posting that I haven’t made much effort to take pretty photos of the work. I actually really enjoy staging flatlays (especially when flowers are involved!) and my art deserves it. My efforts deserve better documentation. Will try to do better. 💗 Also, thank you to my in-laws for this @canonusa Ivy mini printer! It’s the cutest thing & so convenient!! I can print photos from my phone straight to this. Quick drawing this morning for Art Before Breakfast. I woke up early and went to the back porch to check on our plants. Two raccoons were playing in the back yard. They were so big!! A few minutes after they ran off, two foxes started playing chase in the yard. It was so cute seeing wild animals being so playful in the early hours of the day.
